November Luncheon Recap: HRBT Expansion Project Update

On November 11th, we held our November Luncheon featuring Ryan Banas, PE, CCM, Vice President at HNTB Corporation and Project Director for the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel (HRBT) Expansion Project. Ryan provided an informative and engaging update on Virginia’s largest highway construction project to-date, a critical infrastructure investment shaping the future of the Hampton Roads region.

Attendees heard firsthand about the impressive progress made on the project, including a major milestone reached in September by the tunnel boring machine, “Mary.” Ryan shared insights on what has been accomplished, what’s next, and where the project currently stands in its overall timeline.

In addition to learning about this transformative project, members supported our community by donating pantry staples for residents of Landmark Apartments as part of our November food drive. The luncheon was a great example of CREW Coastal Virginia’s commitment to professional development, industry awareness, and giving back.
